Each Prelude is intended to be concise, aiming for 3 - 4 minutes in length. Each one is a little sonic movie, a bit romantic, sometimes even rhapsodic.

What I am primarily exploring here are ways to organize sound without the encumbrance of functional harmony, without the use of separate, discrete pitches to create any sense of "key" or "melody". Instead, I focus on finding a sense of gesture that connects each sound together to create a meaning. So the sounds relate to each other, sometimes flowing and morphing from one into another, other times in layers, sort of how harmonic music might have a main theme with an accompaniment behind it.

A favorite genre, my guilty pleasure! Bowl is a bit of an homage to Harold Budd and Brian Eno.

Here are some tracks that are dance/beat oriented.
